Dear Patients of Kipling Heights Medical Centre,
Due to the current public health emergency related to Coronavirus or COVID-19, Kipling Heights Medical Centre is working to limit the ways in which this virus can potentially spread through the community.
Your safety, and the safety of our staff and physicians is of the utmost importance. We are booking telephone and video conferencing visits with your physician where your doctor can do an assessment and determine if an in office visit may be required.
To book an appointment of any kind, you must speak directly with a receptionist. Our phone lines are busy at this time and it may take up to 48 hours for our office to return your call. Please do not leave any urgent messages on the office voicemail.
Unfortunately, we are not equipped at the office to assess patients who may be at risk of having COVID-19. If you are worried you might have Coronavirus, please call your local Public Health hotline (416-338-7600) or call Telehealth (1-866-797-0000) and get screened over the phone. For other useful information about COVID-19 and new assessment centres please go to www.virusfacts.ca. For guidelines on how to self-isolate: https://www.publichealthontario.ca/-/media/documents/ncov/factsheet-covid-19-how-to-self-isolate.pdf?la=en
These temporary measures, and others being put in place across our communities are critical to containing spread of the virus. By practicing “Social Distancing” and slowing the spread of the virus, we will keep more people safe and minimize risk of overburdening our healthcare system.
We thank you for your patience and cooperation.
